课程简介：本课程分为六讲：1）举足轻重的土木工程行业，讲述土木工程在国民经济中的重要地位；2）恢宏浩大的土木工程设施，介绍那些伟大的工程建设；3）理想变现实的土木工程建设，讲述工程生命周期中的技术活动，也是土木工程师从事的工作；4）精彩纷呈的土木工程职业，介绍土木工程师的执业制度，让学生了解这个行业的入职要求；5）重于泰山的土木工程师责任，讲述工程建设面临的灾害挑战与工程事故的惨痛教训，希望未来的土木工程师们从入门就树立责任意识；6）古老而年轻的土木工程教育，讲述土木工程专业的知识结构和课程体系，以及所要求的素质与能力。
